Services On Wednesday For Milo Gunderson

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, at Tonsing-Fusselman-Perry Funeral Chapel in Syracuse for Milo Gunderson, 66 of Syracuse, who died October 17, 1982.

The Rev. Marlon Loftis will conduct the services. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery in Syracuse.

Milo Gunderson was born September 24, 1916, in Gordon, Nebraska, to Raymond and Maude Thayer Gunderson. He married Rachael Sorensen in Reno, Nevada, on May 31, 1941.

He lived in Blair from 1957 – 1972 and ran Gunderson’s Drive-In here during that time. In 1972, he moved to Syracuse where he has been Syracuse School bus foreman and driver for the past nine years.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Syracuse. He was also a past member of the Syracuse Rescue Unit.

He is survived by his wife, Rachael of Syracuse; and three daughters, Diane Bro, Blair; Nine Wardell, Omaha; and Mrs. Dennis (Janelle) Werner, Syracuse. His mother, Mrs. Maude Gunderson, of Mitchell, Nebraska; one sister, Myrtle Reeves, Scottsbluff, Nebraska; one brother, Cecil Gunderson, Madras, Oregon; and eight grandchildren also survive him.

Tonsing-Fusselman-Perry Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements for the services.
