Services and burial were in Yakima, Washington, January 14, for Mrs. Ethel Rosenbaum Gunkel, 89, formerly of Blair, who died January 12, 1983.

Ethel Rosenbaum Gunkel was born at Kennard June 28, 1893. She had lived in Washington State for the past 40 years.

She was preceded in death by one son, John Rosenbaum.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Gunkel of Yakima; and daughters, Auralee Beemer of Gravity, Iowa; Mrs. Jess (Opal) Maiwald of Sunnyvale, California; and Mrs. Leonard (Marian) Mathiesen of Blair. Sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Rosenbaum of Blair; and many nieces and nephews in the Blair and Kennard areas also survive her.
