Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Dec. 22, for Walter Gustin at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair. Rev. John Ewton officiated and organist was Clare Cowing. Burial followed at the Arlington Cemetery.

Walter, 81, was born Dec. 27, 1902, to David and Louise Christina (Christ) Gustin in Blair. Walter farmed in the Blair area until 1976, when he moved to Arlington. He moved to the Fremont Care Center in 1977, where he died Dec. 19, 1984.

Survivors include his wife Velma (Pyles) Gustin of Arlington, sons, Walt Gustin of Mesa, Arizona, and Donald Gustin of Onawa, Iowa, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Olsen of Carter Lake, Iowa and Mrs. Robert (Luscynda) Petersen of Barnett, Missouri, and brothers, Harold Gustin of Vancouver, Washington, and Clarence Gustin of Michigan.

Pallbearers were Jim, Raymond and Fred Gustin, Carson Day, Ralph Theye and Robert Andreasen.
