Maria Guy, 42

Maria Guy, 42, of Blair, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at First Christian Church in Blair. No visitation will be held.

Maria Guy was born Oct. 31, 1964, in New Orleans, La., to Elio Delgado and Olga Toledo. She graduated from high school in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1983.

On Oct. 31, 1987, she married Rodney Guy Sr. in Los Angeles. The family has lived in Blair for the past 12 years.

Mrs. Guy enjoyed needlepoint, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her children. She was also known as “Mom” to many neighborhood children.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney; children, Christian Jennings, Amber L. Guy, Shandon L. Guy, Rodney L. Guy Jr., all of Blair; mother, Olga Toleto of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters and brother, Lebrado Piniro of Miami, Fla., Violeta Piniro and Cecilia Piniro, both of Cuba, Hortencita Betanzos of Miami, Elsa Betanzos of West Palm Beach, and Aide Belanzos of Miami.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
