Services Held For T. Harrison Elmore

Funeral services for T. Harrison Elmore, 94, former Fremont High School teacher, were at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Arlington Community Church. The Rev. Gerald Senn officiated.

Elmore died Thursday morning in the Fremont Hospital.

He was born August 14, 1885, in Armour, South Dakota. He lived in Fremont from 1917-1960, when he moved to Texas. He returned to Nebraska in 1975 and had been living in Arlington.

Elmore taught mechanical drawing and manual training at Fremont High for many years. He was choir director for 25 years at the First Presbyterian Church in Fremont, and also served as choir director at the First Congregational Church in Fremont.

He was a Fremont Rotary Club member for many years, and also held memberships in the National Retired Teachers Association and the Arlington Community Church.

Elmore married the former Victoria Meberg July 10, 1910, in Vermillion, South Dakota. She died March 20, 1955. He then married Annie Laurie Fowler June 12, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas. She survives and lives in Arlington.

Other survivors include a son, Thomas H. Elmore Jr. of San Jose, California; daughter, Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Cady of Arlington; sister, Mrs. Henry (Mildred) Anderson of Vermillion, South Dakota; two grandsons, Jon Cady of Fremont and Thomas Cady of Blair; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established for the Arlington Community Church.

Arrangements were handled by the Reckmeyer Funeral Home in Arlington.

Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Pallbearers were Paul Larson, C. J. Rouzeo, Gerald Meyer, Dr. L. K. Otto, Floyd Loftis and Dennis Decker.

Mrs. Charles House played the organ during the funeral services and Richard Mitten was the soloist.
