Mrs. Charles Wake Buried in Herman

Mrs. Cora Ethel Wake of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at the McBride Nursing Home January 13th, where she has been since February, 1962.

She was born March 9, 1888 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Warner at Herman, Nebraska.

Her husband, Charles C. Wake, and a son Allen preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kay Snetzer of Jacksonville, Arkansas and two sons, Robert Wake of Gardena, California and Don Wake of Florissant, Missouri. Mrs. Fred Guyer is a niece.

Funeral services were held January 16th at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Mortuary. The Rev. Dale Westadt officiated. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery beside her husband and son.

Rites Held Wed. For Mrs. C. Wake Former Hermanite

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Mrs. Charles C. Wake, 74 years of age, who died Sunday, January 13, at the McBride Nursing Home.

The services were held at the Campbell Mortuary with burial in the Herman Cemetery.

Mrs. Wake is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert Snetzer (Kathryn) of Little Rock, Ark.; two sons, Robert of Gardena, California and Don of St. Louis, Mo., and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Fred Guyer is a niece.

Mrs. Wake, the former Cora Ethel Warner, grew up in the Herman community and has many friends and relatives in Herman and Blair.

Mrs. Wake formerly lived in St. Edward, Nebr., where her late husband was postmaster and editor and owner of the weekly Boone County Advance. The family moved to Omaha in 1931, later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Mr. Wake died in 1953. Mrs. Wake was, for some time, a resident at the Crowell Home.
