ROBERT S. LANE, 70
Services were held at Chapel of the Light in Fresno, California for Robert S. Lane, 70 who died July 4, 1996 in Fresno after a brief illness. Cremation followed.
Robert S. Lane was born June 12, 1926 in Decker, Indiana.
He taught agriculture for 35 years before retiring. He taught in Filley and Herman, Nebraska and in Caruthers, California.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
He was a member of Landmark Lodge No. 222, A.F., & A.M. of Herman and Tehran Temple in Fresno.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Williams Lane of Caruthers; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Crawford of Woodlake, California; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and JoAnn of Reedley, California and Steve and Vickie of Selma, California and four grandchildren.
