ELIZABETH LANG, 85

Services for Elizabeth Skinner Lang, 85 who died December 7, 1993 at her Uehling home were Saturday, December 11 at the Alder Grove United Methodist Church in rural Craig, Nebraska. Rev. Dawn Carder and Rev. Mark Hanna officiated. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Elizabeth Skinner was born to John and Minnie Wilson Skinner December 5, 1908 on the family farm near Herman. She attended Herman High School, graduating in 1926 and attended two years of college at Wayne Normal School.

She taught at the Alder Grove School from 1928-1930.

She was a long-time member of the Alder Grove Church and was active in the Women’s Society. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Uehling and was a member of the Alder Grove Home Extension Club for almost 60 years.

She married Richard Lang of Alder Grove September 10, 1930. They lived on the Clark-Lang homestead from teat date (?) until 1974. She moved to Uehling in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard February 1, 1972.

She is survived by her five children, Mary Joan (Mrs. Robert) Price of Craig; Russell Clark Lang of Craig; Dr. Wayne Wilson Lang of Fletcher, North Carolina; Dr. Charles Richard Lang of Uehling and Kathryn Ann Lang (Mrs. Andrew) Jacobson of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Hovendick of Beatrice, Nebraska; two brothers, Robert of Herman and William of Ramona, California and many nieces and nephews.
