Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 11 at the Arlington City Auditorium for Eric N. Lang, 17 of rural Arlington who died January 8, 1991 as the result of the car-train accident just east of Arlington. Rev. Don Cassiday will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday, January 10 and 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday, January 11 at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the services at the auditorium.

Eric N. Lang was born September 8, 1973 in Blair. He lived his entire life in the Arlington area. He was a junior at Arlington High School.

He worked for Fremont Electric part-time and during the summer. He enjoyed woodworking and welding.

He was a member of the Arlington Community Church and was a catcher for the Arlington Midgets Baseball team, which went to state last year. He was also a member of the mixed quartet for the Arlington High School Choir, played football for two years and basketball for three years.

He is survived by his parents, Greg and Lori Lang of rural Arlington; two brothers, Phillip and Jacob, at home; four grandparents, Neil and Janet Lang and Melvin and Sally Schmidt, all of Arlington; four great-grandparents, Otto and Marie Schmidt and Virginia Motley, all of Arlington, and Mildred Enger of Blair.

Pallbearers will be Brad Warner, Jeff Olson, Ryan Reifert, Jamie Hesman, Ryan Esch, John Christensen, Shane Dwyer and Charlie Raymond.

Honorary pallbearers will be Arlington Midget Baseball Team, Arlington Basketball Team, Arlington High School Class of 1992 and his fellow employees at Fremont Electric.

Memorials may go to the Arlington High School Vocal Music Program, Arlington Little League and Arlington Midgets Team, Arlington Community Church and Arlington Rescue Squad.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
