HAROLD LANG, 76

Harold Ernest Lang, 76, of Blair died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, after suffering a heart attack at his home.

Services were April 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Mr. Lang was born June 5, 1921, in Hooper, Neb., to Ernest and Emma (Pawling) Lang. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. On Sept. 8, 1942, he entered the U.S. Army at Ft. Crook, Neb. He attained the rank of master sergeant. He was discharged on Dec. 1, 1945. On Jan. 11, 1946, he married Mardelle Arlene Kuhlman in Blair. They lived and farmed south of Herman until retiring in 1983. They then moved to Blair where they lived at the time of his death.

He was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Herman American Legion.

Survivors are his wife, Arlene of Blair; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Lang of Herman; a daughter, Linda Lang of Omaha; granddaughters, Kyna Lang and Kelsey Lang; and brothers and sisters, Katherine Schuette of Hooper; Selma (Mrs. Wes) Haig of Albuquerque, N.M.; Elva (Mrs. Roy) Hansen of Blair; Fern (Mrs. Orland)Krohn of Hooper; Neil and Janet Lang of Arlington; Helen Lang of Blair and Donald and Shirley Lang of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Judy and a sister, Pearl Brodersen.

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
