Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday August 19, at First Methodist Church in Blair for Harald E. Elvers, 70, who died at Methodist Hospital in Omaha on August 16, 1983.

The Dr. Gordon Patterson will officate. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery.

Harald E. Elvers was born in Dannebrog, Nebraska, June 2, 1913, to Hans and Larsine Elvers.

He was a boilermaker with Union Pacific. He was a member of the Mason Order in Fremont.

He married Lorraine Lauritsen on December 31, 1925. She died in 1975.

He married Lois Vavra in Fremont on August 11, 1976. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Jareld Elvers, Overland Park, Kansas, and Charles Elvers, Perrysburg, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Merlon (Janis) Bedke, Blair, and Mrs. Roger (SaraLee) Ryan, Elkhorn; two step-daughters, Linda Spearman, Papillion, and Judith Sawyer, Fremont; and four step-sons, David Hemminger, Fremont, Douglas Hemminger, Omaha, Jon Hemminger, Fort Worth, Texas, and Paul Hemminger, Fremont. Nineteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ellen Paulsen, Omaha; and one brother, Joe Elvers, Fredericksburg, Virginia, also survive him.
