Services For Mrs. Wakefield Held in Calhoun

Services for Mrs. Myrta Wakefield, 79, of Los Angeles, California, who passed away December 29, were held at the Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun on January 2, 1971, with burial in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery, Rev. Sackett officiating.

Mrs. Wakefield passed away at the home of a daughter in Los Angeles.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Herbaugh, Mrs. Catherine Bean, Mrs. Doris Bean, all of California, and Mrs. Vera Gardner of Kansas City, Missouri, and four sons, Kenneth of Elkhorn, Howard and Lee of Omaha, and Wilmer of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mrs. Wakefield’s husband, Arthur C., passed away in 1955.

The Wakefields farmed in the Fort Calhoun vicinity several years ago.
