Services For Harold Waldenstrom Saturday Morning

Funeral services were held at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church on Saturday morning for Carl Harold Waldenstrom, who passed away March 20, 1974, at the Veterans’ Hospital in Omaha, at the age of 79. Reverend Keith Sackett conducted the services, and burial was at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery under the direction of Sievers Funeral Home.

Mr. Waldenstrom was a well-known farmer east of Fort Calhoun. He had spent much of his life there, but more recently lived in Fremont, Nebraska.

Carl Harold Waldenstrom was born in Omaha on September 9, 1895. As a young man he came to the Fort Calhoun area, and after serving in World War I, he returned to Calhoun.

He married Marie Thomas in 1942.

He is survived by his wife, Marie, and two sons, Lynn of Omaha, and Kenneth of Eaton, Colorado. One sister, Linnea Farber of Eaton, Colorado, also survives.

Pallbearers were Andrew Mommsen, Dale Deifenbaugh, Harry Paulsen, Harold Swanson, William Gentery, and Paul Fowler.
