Harry Walkenhorst Died at Age Of 69

Services for 69 year old Harry Walkenhorst were held on Friday, January *6th, following his sudden death on Tuesday, January *10th. Mr. Walkenhorst was found in his car where he had apparently died of a heart attack.

Services were held at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington on January 6th. Burial was in the St. Paul’s Cemetery. Rev. Robert Backhus officiated with the Reckmeyer Funeral Home in charge. A Memorial Fund has been established for the St. Paul’s Church.

Mr. Walkenhorst is survived by his wife, Regina, 3 sons; Duane of Phoenix, Arizona; Dallas of Lincoln and Larry of Arlington and one grandson, Todd Walkenhorst of Lincoln.

Mr. Walkenhorst has spent all his life in the Arlington area. He had farmed near Arlington and moved to Arlington in 1942. Mr. and Mrs. Walkenhorst operated a café in Arlington and presently operate the Arlington Norge Laundry.

Music was provided by George Bluma with pallbearers being Willard Meier, Gary Hilgenkamp, Rollyn Hilgenkamp, (not readable), Don Kuhr and Ervin Armknecht.
