Harvey H. Walker, 90, of Tekamah, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah. Interment will be in Tekamah Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, Dec. 10, at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah, but will also be held one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Harvey H. Walker was born June 19, 1917, in Versailles, Ill., to Clarence and Verlea (Henry) Walker. He moved to Nebraska with his family in about 1920. He graduated from Tekamah High School in 1936.

On Sept. 17, 1951, he married Shirley Irene Renshaw in Columbus.

Mr. Walker was a lifelong farmer in Burt County.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tekamah and the Masonic Lodge #31, A.F. & A.M. in Tekamah, where he served as a past master and past high priest. He also served as a Burt County supervisor from 1970 through 1994.

He is survived by his sisters-in-law: Betty Walker, Elvera Walker, June Renshaw and Norma Taylor, all of Tekamah; nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 2002; and two brothers: Roland and Hal Walker.
