Mrs. Anton Wachter died very suddenly at her home near Herman at 11 p.m. last Saturday and the funeral was held at the Catholic Church in this city at 10 o’clock this forenoon, Father T. O’Driscoll officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Blair Cemetery.

Theresa Christ was born in Nascontah, Ill., March 20th, 1855, and was therefore just past her 61st. birthday. She was married there to Franklin Fuess, whose death occurred ten years ago. Of that union four daughters were born, Mrs. Elizabeth Ackerman, Mrs. Mathilda Jensen, Laura and Anna.

On Oct. 1st, 1888, she was married to Anton Wachter, of Herman, Neb., and she has since made her home on the farm, four miles south of Herman. Of this union there are two sons, Walter and Clarence.

Besides the husband she also leaves one brother, Nicholas Christ, of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Jos. Worms, of Belleville, Ill.
