Services for Carsen E. Petersen, who died September 28, 1992 at his home in rural Kennard are at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 1 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery.

Carsen E. Petersen was born January 10, 1910 in Washington County.

He married Margaret Holstein April 20, 1932. He farmed all his life in Washington County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Minnie Petersen; four brothers, Henry, William, Lawrence and Ervin; two sisters, Verna and Gladys.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Joyce Petersen of Fremont; daughters and sons-in-law, Ilene and Richard Jensen of Omaha and Joanne and Robert Patterson of Papillion; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Bertha Wilke of Omaha and Marie Schmidt of Arlington.

The family prefers memorials go to St. John Lutheran Church or the Bennington or Kennard Rescue Squads.
