Shirley I. Walker, 81

Shirley I. Walker, 81, of Tekamah, died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah with the Rev. Harun Gatobu officiating. Interment will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Visitation began Monday, April 8, and will be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Shirley Irene Walker was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Blair to Lesley and Ethel (Brown) Renshaw. She graduated from Tekamah High School in 1938.

On Sept. 17, 1951, she married Harvey H. Walker in Columbus.

Mrs. Walker was a homemaker, and a member of Eastern Star No. 131. She enjoyed knitting and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey; two sister-in-laws, June Renshaw and Norma Taylor, both of Tekamah, and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Renshaw, sister, Marilyn McClanahan, and half-brother, Robert Taylor.
