MABEL LANGHORST

Mabel L. Langhorst, 98, of Fremont, formerly of rural Nickerson, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Nye Pointe Health and Rehab Center in Fremont.

She was born July 6, 1911, in rural Nickerson to Edward and Louise (Lallman) Langhorst. She graduated from Nickerson High School in 1928 and lived on the family farm until moving into Fremont in 2003.

She was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle where she sang in the church choir for over 60 years. She was involved with the Sunday school staff for many years.

Mabel is survived by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle with the Rev. Robert Hayden officiating. There is no public visitation, however, friends may sign the register book from 1 – 5 p.m. Friday at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. There will be a private interment.

Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle or to the donor’s favorite charity.
