A CORRECTION

Referring to the death notice of J. A. Lantry which appeared in this paper last week, we wish to correct the statement there made that Mr. Lantry left but four children. The facts given were procured by the editor personally from L. L. Lantry, one of the sons mentioned, whom we asked for information and had reason to suppose that all of interest regarding J. A. Lantry and his family was given, but for some reason a portion of the facts were withheld.

Mr. Joseph A. Lantry was twice married and the four mentioned last week were children of the first wife who died many years ago. On Feb. 7, 1865, deceased was again married to Louise Calabech. The result of this union was four children also, of whom three are living, Charles, Joseph and George, all now in adult manhood, and one daughter, Anna, who died in 1877. Joseph operated the home farm and the father lived with him while Charles and George are farming a few miles north of town, and the mother of these boys and surviving widow of the deceased, resides with the two latter named, and is about 60 years of age.

The Pilot regrets that all these facts were not given in the first statement, and makes this explanation and correction in justice to the parties interested.
