FRED LANTZ, 65

Funeral services for Fred Lantz, 65, of Omaha, were held Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Mr. Lantz died at his home on Sunday, May 5.

Fred T. Lantz was born Sept. 20, 1936, in St. Paul to Jack and Edith (Stillinger) Lantz. He graduated from St. Edward High School.

On Sept. 8, 1958, he married Eva Stachura in Columbus.

Mr. Lantz was a meat cutter for 40 years, working for Hinky Dinky and, for the last 25 years, with Baker’s. The couple lived in Blair until moving to Omaha in 1995. He was a past member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Eva; son, Terry, of Omaha; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Smith of Yutan; three grandchildren; two brothers, Walt of Louisiana and Jack of St. Edward; two sisters, Norma Joynt of California, and Pat Boyd of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lori Droge, and one brother, Don.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
