MRS. C.B. LARSEN DIES AT THE AGE OF 86.

Services were held at First Lutheran Church for Mrs. C.B. (Abelone) Larsen on Friday, October 28, 1977. Mrs. Larsen passed away Tuesday, October 25, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital, at the age of 86, after suffering a heart attack two days earlier.

Rev. Robert Albers, pastor and Mrs. Florence Hanson, parish assistant, officiated at the service. Mrs. Clark Cowing served as organist. The committal service and burial were held at Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Larsen was born near Herning, Denmark, February 2, 1891, and came to this country in 1911, then resided in Chicago until 1914. She attended Dana College for one year, then served for three years as boarding house manager at the Indian Mission School in Oaks, Oklahoma. She and Dr. Larsen were married on June 18, 1920 in Chicago. She served with Dr. Larsen in parishes in Queensland Mission, Australia, Worcester, Mass., and Penn Yan, New York, before coming to Blair in 1926. She has been active in many organizations at First Lutheran Church and at Dana College.

Mrs. Larsen is survived by her four children: Mrs. Lyle Paulsen, Tucson, Arizona; Ezra Larsen, Boulder, Colorado; Mrs. Peter Beckman, Rock Island, Illinois; and Philip Larsen, Blair; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Olsen and a brother, Christian Nielsen, both of Denmark. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Pallbearers were Edwin Jipp, Merton Kuhr, C.C. Madsen, Paul Neve, F. William Thomsen, and Soren Wolsmann. Honorary Pallbearers were her grandsons and granddaughters.
