SERVICES FOR MRS. AGNES LARSEN TO BE FRIDAY

Services for Mrs. Agnes Amelia Larsen have been set for Friday, October 7th at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum. Rev. Wayne Josephsen will officiate with Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery.

Mrs. Agnes Larsen of Orum passed away Monday evening, October 3, 1977, at a hospital in Hastings, Nebr. She had been ill with pneumonia. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Larsen had resided at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings for the past three years, but had been a life time resident of Washington County prior to that.

Agnes Amelia Sorensen was born May 9, 1889, in the New England neighborhood of rural Washington County. Her parents were Hans P. Sorensen and Anne Kristine (Jensen) Sorensen. She attended grade school in that area, and later attended Dana College and Fremont Normal after which she taught school for 5 years.

On October 1, 1913, she was married to Martin Larsen of Orum. They lived in the Orum community their entire married life, and had celebrated their golden wedding in 1963.

Martin and Agnes were the parents of two sons, Dr. L. M. (Malvern) Larsen of Kearney, and Alton L. Larsen of Orum. Martin preceded her in death in 1966. Besides the two sons, Mrs. Larsen is survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hayes (Camilla) Rosenbaum of Omaha and a brother, Edward Sorensen of Glendale, California.

Pallbearers will be Ivan Rasmussen, Gustav Rolland, Ivan Larsen, John Taylor, Jr., David Kuhr and Dennis McCormick.
