‘Rut’ Wallace Funeral Friday

Onetime DeSoto and Blair Man Dies At 50 In Flordia; Body Here Today

Russ Wallace, 50, better known here as “Rut” Wallace, a former Blair and DeSoto resident, died suddenly Sunday at Edgewater, Fla. He had been a building contractor in recent years.

Mr. Wallace, who once farmed at DeSoto, lost an arm some 20 years ago in an automobile accident near here.

The body will be returned this morning to the Campbell Mortuary here. Funeral rites will be held at the mortuary Friday at 2 p.m.

Surviving Mr. Wallace are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Wallace; one brother, Frank Wallace of Omaha; and three sisters, Mrs. Pete Jones (Blanche) of Blair, Mrs. Jacob Christensen (Mable) of Exira, Ia., and Mrs. Ed Krajeski (Ann) of Mondamin, Ia.
