Services for Lizzie Mae Elliott Wallingford, 94, who died January 31, 1994 at Elma Haven Care Center in Thornton, Colorado, were Friday, February 4 at Bader-Rozanek Funeral Home in Fremont. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lizzie Mae Layman was born May 23, 1899 to Levi and Sarah Clifton Layman of Conway, Missouri.

As a young woman she moved to Tekamah, Nebraska.

She married Pete Elliott March 31, 1923. They lived in the Blair and Tekamah area and had two children, a son, Ronald and a daughter, Frances.

After her husband, Pete died in 1951, she moved to Fremont. In 1954, she married James Wallingford. He died in 1964.

In 1979, her health began to fail so she moved to Commerce City, Colorado, to live with her son, Ronald. Later she made her home at the Elma Haven Care Center.

In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ronald, an infant sister; three brothers and a step-son, Don Wallingford.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Alton Stender of Blair; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Elliott of Commerce City, Colorado; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two step-sons, Ted Wallingford and Carl Wallingford, both of Fremont.
