Audry Walrath

About ten days ago Audrey Walrath, about eleven years of age, oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Walrath of this city, fell from a cherry tree breaking both bones of the forearm. The fracture was a serious one as the bones had pierced the flesh causing much loss of blood and making it impossible to set the injured member.

She was taken to the hospital a short time afterward where her sufferings were intense. On last Tuesday complications set in which resulted in a severe case of tetanus. On Tuesday night Henry Grimm was called on to make a trip to Omaha to obtain, antitoxin in the hope of saving her life but the effort was of no avail and on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock she passed away.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon and interment made in the Blair Cemetery.

The Enterprise extends its sympathies to the bereaved parents.
