One-Time Blair Man Is Dead

Information received in Blair this week relates that Chester Willard Walrath, a former Blair resident died late in July. The exact date has not been stated by the news dispatch received by The Enterprise.

Older Blair residents will remember the Walraths who lived on east Grant Street in the 400 block.

Mr. Walrath was born at Pleasanton, Kansas, moved here with his parents as a young lad and graduated from Blair High School.

He left Blair in the early 30’s, joined the Armed Forces and after completing his service became a diesel mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter and one grandchild. One brother and three sisters also survive.
