CLARA M. LARSEN, 92

Clara M. Larsen, 92, of Fremont, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Services were Monday, March 8, at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Omaha.

Clara M. Steeden was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Papillion to Harry and Kathrine (Mohr) Steeden. She grew up in Papillion and moved to Omaha after her marriage on Oct. 21, 1939, in Papillion, to Leonard J. Larsen.

The Larsens farmed near Fort Calhoun for 23 years. While at Fort Calhoun, Mrs. Larsen worked at Wilkinson Manufacturing for several years. The couple moved to Fremont in 1976.

Mrs. Larsen was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Fremont, and the Naomi Circle. She was a former member of the Lucky Ladies Extension Club.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Mary Larsen and Roger and Linda Larsen, all of Fort Calhoun, and Paul and Leah Larsen of Omaha; daughter, Janet Pebley of Fremont; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Grimm of Beaverton, Ore.; two sisters-in-law, Kay Steeden of Pointe Verde Beach, Fla., and Marjorie Larsen of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, in 1982; a brother, Howard Steeden, and two sisters, Esther Apling and Elsie Christiansen.

Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
