ELAINE LARSEN, 85

Elaine Larsen, 85, of Blair, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. A private family interment will be held at the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Elaine Fagerquist was born May 8, 1924, in Valley to Raymond and Clara Marie Mirtie (Toft) Fagerquist. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended the Omaha Business College for two years.

On May 11, 1946, she married Ervin “Fat” Larsen in Blair.

Mrs. Larsen worked at the Omaha Stock Exchange and then did bookkeeping for her husband’s carpentry business.

She loved crocheting, knitting, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family. She often kept in contact with her family via computer.

She was a member of the Blair Eagles Auxiliary and First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Elwin Shepard of Blair, Cheryl and Ron Wetzel of Arlington, Wash., and Peggy Larsen of Blair; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Neena Larsen of Blair; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Maxine and Keith Meier and Jackie and Gary Grefe, all of Arlington, Gene and Greta Fagerquist of Buckley, Wash., Jerry Fagerquist and Sharon and Doug McGuire, all of Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, in 1972, and a sister, Marilyn Joyce Fagerquist.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church.
