SERVICES FOR HANNAH LARSEN TO BE WEDNESDAY

Services for 90 year old Hannah O. Larsen will be held on Wednesday, July 2, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum. Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery with Rev. Eric Christiansen officiating. Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hannah Larsen was born at Blair, Nebraska on November 18, 1889. She was never married and was a homemaker all of her life. She had been a resident of Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

She is survived by nephews: Alton Larsen, Blair and L.M. Larsen of Kearney, Nebraska.

SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER ORUM RESIDENT

Hanna Oline Larsen was born November 18, 1889, at Orum, Nebraska, the daughter of Hans Christian Larsen and Marit Iversen Larsen. She passed away Sunday, June 29, 1980 at the Good Shepherd Home at Blair.

She had attended the Orum School, and later the Ladies’ Lutheran Seminary at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for one year. After that, she taught school one year at Elk Point, South Dakota.

Returning to the family farm a half mile north of Orum, she lived there the rest of her life, until entering Arbor Manor at Fremont in 1973. Two years later she moved to the Good Shepherd Home.

Hanna and her sister Louise had an extensive chicken and egg business for many years. Hanna’s flowers and her yard were her greatest interests as well as her pride and joy.

She was a life-long member of the church at Orum, and at the church’s centennial celebration was honored as the oldest continuous member.

She is survived by nephew Alton L. Larsen and wife Betty of Orum, and nephew L.M. Larsen and wife Ellen of Kearney, two grand-nephews, one grand-niece, three great-grand-nephews and two great-grand-nieces.

Services were held Wednesday, July 2, at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum, with burial at Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery at Orum. The service was conducted by Rev. Eric E. Christensen of Fremont.

Pallbearers were Edward Hansen, Martin McNeil, Roy Rahlfs, Ivan Rasmussen, Gustav Rolland and Ernest Suess
