JOHN G. LARSEN, 76

Blair native, John G. Larsen, 76 of Piedmont, S.C., died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010.

Services were Monday, Jan. 18, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home in Greenville, S.C. Interment was in the Graceland West Cemetery.

John Gerald “Jack” Larsen was born in Blair to Jane I. (Wise) and Menno C. Larsen.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired pharmaceutical sales representative.

He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church, and was a former member of the Anderson District I School Board, and was a Mason.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Stuart Lane of Simpsonville, S.C., son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Annette Larsen of Peizer, S.C.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Zelma McCann.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. (Davis) Larsen; three brothers, Robert, Harold and Norman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in Greenville, S.C.
