Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 27 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard for Rosie C. Andersen, 93 of Blair who died April 24, 1900 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Rev. Chris Beyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Rosie C. Andersen was born January 4, 1897 on the family farm near Kennard to Carl and Anna Hansen Carlsen. She was baptized May 9, 1987 in Irvington, Nebraska.

She attended school at Kennard.

On February 14, 1917 she married Torvel Andersen at her family's home in rural Kennard. To this union three children, Evelyn, Phyllis and Merle, were born.

She continued to live and farm with her husband in rural Kennard until his death on March 3, 1975. A short time later, she moved to Good Shepherd Home in Blair where she resided until her death.

She was a life-long member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard and was active in the Women of ELCA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six sisters, one brother, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Evelyn and Elmer Wulf and Phyllis Suverkrubbe; a son and daughter-in-law, Merle and Mardelle Andersen, all of Blair; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Casketbearers will be her grandsons, Tom Andersen, Tim Andersen, Larry Wulf, Lynn Wulf, Bruce Suverkrubbe, Robert Suverkrubbe and Steven Suverkrubbe.

The family will receive visitors from 6:30-i:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Emmaus Lutheran Church or Good Shepherd Home.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the services.
