Dr. Arthur Grimm, Former Countian, Dies In New York
Dr. Arthur Grimm, dentist for many years in New York City, passed away January 18, 1967, in New York at the age of 89 years. He was born in Blair, Nebraska, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Grimm, pioneer farmers, who were the first couple to be married in Blair. He graduated from Blair High School in the class of 1896 and later attended New York University in New York City.
Dr. Grimm was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Anna Peterson, who was a long-time resident of Blair; and six brothers, Dr. Peter, William, Henry, Edward, Hans and Louis.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two nieces, Mrs. Edith Malone of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Elizabeth Carlson of Blair; and five nephews, Sterling Grimm of Estherville, Iowa, Oscar Peterson of Seattle, Wash., Karl Peterson of New York City, Julius Peterson of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Louis Grimm of Blair. The late Wilhelm Grimm of Blair was also a nephew.
Burial was Monday, January 23, at the Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, New York, with military honors.
