Metta L. Ward Died At Blair Hospital Tuesday

Metta L. Ward, widow of the late Norris E. Ward, died at the Blair Hospital last Tuesday, April 22nd. Mrs. Ward was 89 years old.

She was born at Petersburg, Nebraska on July 22, 1885, but lived in the Blair area for many years. Mrs. Ward lived at 2052 Nebraska Street.

She is survived by three sons and a daughter, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The sons are Myron Ward of Blair, Russell Ward and Merle Ward, both of Herman. The daughter is Mrs. Marie Petersen of Omaha.

Claar Millrons, of Blair, is a brother of the deceased woman.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church in Blair on Saturday, April 26th. The Rev. Ray Phelps conducted the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Niels Poulsen, Elmer Thone, Russell Ryan, Russell Taylor, Shurley Nelson and Paul Ross.
