Virginia L. Ward, 86, of Fort Calhoun, died Wednesday, Oct 28, 2009, in Omaha. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 2, at Abiding Faith Baptist Church in Fort Calhoun. Interment was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Virginia Louise Ward was born Feb. 16, 1923, in East St. Louis, Ill.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Carol Ann and Glenn Salter of Stanton, Calif., and Peggy and Bruce Larsen of Elkhorn; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Jan Ryan of Fulshear, Texas, and Mark and Kay Ryan of Sunwoody, Ga; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Weeks of Fort Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ward; a brother, William R. Weeks; and a grandson, David Salter.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
