August C. Lallman, 90, of Arlington, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Omaha.

Memorial services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont.

August Carl Lallman was born November 8, 1921, in rural Arlington to Albert and Celia (Mengedoht) Lallman.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Upon the completion of his service, he returned to live and work on the family farm, doing so until he retired in 1985.

He married Madelyn Nelson in 1946. She passed away in 1970.

He later married Verah Fox in 1977.

Mr. Lallman enjoyed working with metal and welding for many different projects.

He is survived by his wife, Verah of Arlington; daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Taylor of Arlington and Darlene Lallman of Blair; daughter-in-law, Naomi Lallman of Carlsbad, N.M.; step-daughters and their spouses, Georgia and Ed Hollander of Fremont, Gloria and Lane Raub of Omaha and Gwen Roberts of Largo, Fla.; step-sons and their spouses, Gordie and Holly Fox of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Gerry Fox of Lyons; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madelyn; son, Kenneth Lallman; and an infant daughter.
