David P. Grafelman, 70

Funeral services for David P. Grafelman, 70, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler. Interment will be in the Deshler Cemetery. Mr. Grafelman died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

David P. Grafelman was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Hebron to Paul and Esther (Rupprecht) Grafelman.

On July 10, 1955, he married Janice Fickle in Denver, Colo. He also graduated from Midland Lutheran College in 1955 with a degree in education. He received his Master’s Degree from Arizona State, and retired from the teaching profession in 1989.

He is survived by his wife, Jan, of Missouri Valley, seven children and spouses, Margaret and Stan Oldham of Salt Lake City, Utah, Liz and Roger Jones of Montpelier, Idaho, Gretchen and David Walker, also of Salt Lake City, Dan and Debbie Grafelman of Cedar City, Utah, John and Tricia Grafelman of Manassas, Va., Melanie and Tony Renze of Omaha, Paul and Debbie Grafelman of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and 25 grandchildren.
