Ione Y. Gramkow, 73

Ione Y. Gramkow, 73, of Logan, Iowa, died Feb. 24, 2004, at the Westmont Care Center in Logan.

Funeral services were Feb. 27, at Logan Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery at Persia, Iowa.

Ione Y. Gramkow was born June 15, 1930, in Mondamin, Iowa. She attended school in Magnolia, Iowa, and graduated from Magnolia High School. She worked for various phone companies for many years, starting as a switchboard operator and then moved to a supervisor position until her retirement.

She married Willis Gramkow in 1989 in Yankton, S. D.

Mrs. Gramkow lived her entire life in the Logan area. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, flowers, gardening, and bowling.

She is survived by her husband, Willis, of Logan; step-children, Sandra O’Neill of Pocatello, Idaho, Willis Gramkow of Yankton, S. D. and Leesa Blount of Mesa, Ariz.; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Stanley Taylor of Blair; brother and sister-in-law, Alve and Ilene Feige of Logan; five step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
