Arlington Man’s Mother Is Buried

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 11, at Elim Lutheran Church in Swaburg for Mrs. Frieda Graver, 75, of Hooper, who died September 7, 1982, in Logan Manor at Lyons after a long illness.

The Rev. James Lindgren conducted the services. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Frieda Graver was born June 8, 1907, in rural Hooper and lived in the Hooper area all her life. She was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church of Swaburg, the Lutheran Church Women and the Burt – Washington – Dodge Extension Club.

She married Louis Graver on December 15, 1931, in Hooper. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Doris Noonen of Omaha and Norma Graver of Mountain View, California; and two sons, Larry Graver of Arlington and James Graver of Omaha. Eight grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Popken of Fremont and Lloyd Popken of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and four sisters, Mrs. Nora Meyer of Scribner, Mrs. Wythe (Carol) Fielder of Clearwater, Florida; Mrs. Marvin (Laverna) Prince of Fremont; and Mrs. Margie Young of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, also survive her.

Ward Funeral Home in Hooper was in charge of arrangements.
