Voneita Gottsch, 70

Funeral services were held for Voneita D. Gottsch at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington with Dr. Norman Schroeder officiating on September 5, 1987.

Casket bearers were Londo Auch, Fred Lounsberry, Dale Thompson III, Larry Larsen, Scott Stokes, and Darrell Ulrich.

Hadan-Golden Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Interment was in the German Cemetery north of Bennington.

Vonetia D. Gottsch was born February 11, 1917, in Kennard to Harry and Katie (Wulf) Larsen.

She lived her life in the Blair, Kennard and Bennington areas until recently when she moved to Evergreen, Colorado.

She was united in marriage to Glen Gottsch. They farmed north of Bennington on their farm.

She died on Thursday, September 3, 1987, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 22 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen, who died in 1983; and three brothers, Howard, Elmer and Maynard.

She is survived by a son, Terry Stokes of Evergreen, Colorado; a daughter, Cheryl Thompson of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Scott Stokes of Evergreen, Camille Stokes of Aurora, Colo., Dale Thompson III of Dallas, Texas, and Stacey Grosvenor of Clovis, New Mexico; two great-grandchildren and other relatives.
