Edith R. Grabe, 91

Edith R. (Palle) Grabe, 91, of Blair, died March 10, 2005, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Edith Ragnhild Grabe was born Nov. 20, 1913, in Dannebrog to Rasmus and Karen Marie (Nielsen) Palle. She attended school in Dannebrog.

On Dec. 24, 1936, she married Chris H. Grabe in Nysted; he died in 1968. She married Otto Grabe on July 15, 1972, in Junction City, Ore.; he died in 1981.

Mrs. Grabe worked as a sales clerk at the Kaiser Department Store in Junction City for 35 years, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Grabe lived in Esbjerg, Denmark, for 15 years prior to coming to Blair in 1987.

She was a member of the Nysted (Neb.) Lutheran Church and the Blair Danish Brotherhood No. 206. She enjoyed raising flowers, playing cards, crocheting and traveling.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Harriet Palle of Blair; and nephews and nieces.

In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Richard and Erik Palle.
