NIELS P. LARSEN BURIED IN HERMAN TUESDAY

Niels Peter Larsen was born at Spiker, Nebraska on December 6, 1892, to Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen and passed away on September 6, 1975 at the age of 82 at the Blair Community Hospital where he had been confined for the past two weeks.

He was married to Mary Carlsen on December 23, 1914. They farmed for many years in the Herman vicinity and retired in 1941. He then served as custodian of the Herman School until 1958.

He was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Orum when a young man and recently became a member of the Herman Methodist Church.

Besides his wife, Mary, he is survived by a son, Clifford A. Larsen of Herman, three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Fitch (Vivian) of Omaha, Mrs. Glenn Miller (Jane) of Macedonia, Iowa and Mrs. Don Sorensen (Jean) of Lincoln. There are ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a brother, James Larsen of Arlington and a sister, Mrs. Herman Nielsen of Longview, Washington.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 9th at the Herman Methodist Church. The Rev. Wm. Whittaker officiated.

Pallbearers were Wendell Kronberg, Calvin Rasmussen, Russell Suverkrubbe, Elmer Wulf, Russell Cunningham and Harvey Knudsen.

The Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Herman Cemetery.
