OLUF LARSEN, 94

Services were Monday, February 11 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Neola, Iowa for Oluf Larsen, 94 who died February 8 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Oluf Larsen was born in Try, Vendsyssel, Denmark March 21, 1896. He was a retired Underwood, Iowa farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Bondo Larsen; a son, Marvin Larsen; a son-in-law, Robert D. Randall and a great-grandson, Andrew Randall.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alvina and Herbert A. Hjortsvang, Council Bluffs; daughters, Ruth E. Randall, Lincoln and Dorothy A. Larsen, Omaha; sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Karen Larsen, Underwood; Irvin and Bobbi Larsen, Treynor; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Larsen, Council Bluffs; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Ottine Pedersen and brother, Knud Larsen, both in Denmark; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Larsen, Council Bluffs; Emma Christensen, Iowa City; Ingrid Bondo and Alvina Weismann, both of Blair; brothers-in-law, Jens Beck and Osvald Petersen, both of Denmark; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Meyer Funeral Home in Council Bluffs was in charge of arrangements for the services.
