Memorial services for Vance Curtis Larsen, 52 of New York City were held at Grace Bible Church at Creighton, Nebraska following his death at his home in New York City, New York after a lingering illness of almost a year. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery at a later date.

Vance Curtis Larsen was born October 3 (1940) at Plainview, Nebraska. He grew up and attended and graduated from school at Creighton, Nebraska.

He attended Dana College, graduating from Dana in 1962 with a bachelor of science in education. He taught school in the junior high school field for 17 years in California.

He later used his teaching abilities for Continental Airlines and traveled extensively throughout Colorado, Florida and other locations teaching for Continental. He later was placed in the offices at Newark, New Jersey and continued there until his death.

He was a lifeguard at the Blair Swimming Pool during his college years at Dana.

He is survived by he parents, Vivian and Harry Larsen of Creighton; his aunt, Ada Andersen of Blair; an uncle and aunt, Ben and Maxine Gillian of Whittier, California; an aunt, Esther Cushman of Turner, Oregon, cousins and friends.
