TWILA M. LARSON, 76

Former Blair resident Twila M. Larson, 76, died Monday, May 17, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Florida Memorial Funeral Home.

Twila M. Lutz was born May 10, 1934, to Frank and Kate Lutz.

She met her husband, Clyde, while attending high school in Blair. The couple married on Aug. 25, 1954, while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force.

They moved to Florida in 1964, and established their home on Merritt Island in 1965, where they raised their family.

During the 56 years of marriage, they traveled the globe, experiencing diverse cultures and acquiring many cherished memories.

Mrs. Larson is remembered as a wonderful wife and mother who always put her family’s needs before her own. She had a flair for interior design, taking great pride in her home. She was a highly skilled seamstress, able to design and fabricate anything, ranging from intricate clothing to furniture upholstery.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde; four children and their spouses: Mark and Casey, Vance, Sandra, and Kristen and David; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Imogene Lutz and family of Blair; niece and husband, Linda and Bob Olson of Blair; nephew and wife, Steve and Claudia Larsen of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Robert Lutz, and a sister, Georgia Larsen.

In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting that donations in her name be made to the Health First Foundation, Cape Canaveral Hospital, 701 W. Cocoa Beach Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.
