Mrs. Fred Grabbe, 90 year old Blair resident, died at her home at 2267 Nebraska Street early Saturday morning, October 23rd. She had been in failing health for a number of months.

Mary Anna Grabbe was born January 30, 1881, at the family farm home south of Blair. Her parents, the late Herman Hovendicks, lived on a farm in the Maney school district. She grew up in that area and attended school at Maney.

Wiese (Hildred) of Uehling, Nebraska; Mrs. George Heinssen (Dorothy) of Blair and Fred Grabbe, Jr., who is at home; Edward Grabbe and Leland Grabbe, who live at Herman.

In 1946 Mr. and Mrs. Grabbe retired from farming and moved to their present home on west Nebraska Street.
