Mary Jane Mumm, 55
Mary Jane Mumm, 55, of Blair, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will begin 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the funeral home . with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Mary Jane Kermeen was born September 23, 1956, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Edward J. and Janet J. (Cox) Kermeen.
She attended grade school in Modale, Iowa. She attended high school and graduated in Mondamin, Iowa.
She attended nursing school but spent most of her working life as a bookkeeper and tax accountant. She owned her own accounting and tax preparation business.
On June 5, 1994, she married Joel Mumm in Reno, Nev. They made their home in Omaha.
She was always known as a big fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, NASCAR, and country music. She attended several games, races, and concerts over the years.
She loved animals and cared for several dogs over the years.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Mumm of Blair; stepson, Jeremy Mumm of Joliet, Ill.; sisters, Jeanine Kermeen of Blair and Debra Hobbs of Rogers, Ark.; brothers, Jim Kermeen and special friend, Donella Chadwick, of Crescent, Iowa, and Kevin and wife, Mona, Kermeen of Blair; an aunt and spouse, Lois and Grant Nihsen of Crescent, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
