Mrs. Eliza Bosworth Geary was born July 9, 1932, at Marston, England and died Thursday, November 18, 1926, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Richards, of Beatrice, Nebr.

She was married to Daniel Geary at Marston Church, England, Saturday, December 25th, 1852, and resided at Ridgemount, England, until October 1855, when they moved to Crawley, Lodge on the London northwestern R. R. where her husband was gatekeeper. On October, 1858, they moved to Ridgemont, Bedfordshire and engaged in the bakery business for a short time. Dissolving with their partner they moved to Bedford Shire where her husband was on the police force for eight years. Five children were born in England, two of them passing away.

On April 23, 1867, Eliza Geary, her husband and three children George, Lizzie and Sarah left England arriving in Omaha May 23, 1867. Lived in Ft. Calhoun where one son, John Henry, was born and died. From there they moved to a homestead in Washington county. April 1, 1879, they removed to a farm in Burt county and March, 1884, they moved to their home in Grant township. Four children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren are left to mourn her departure. The children are George of Inman, Nebr., Lizzie, of Beatrice, Nebr., and Carrie and Grace at the old home. She was a faithful wife and mother and a dear lover of home and a true friend.

She was a charter member of the New England church. Funeral services were held at this church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with Rev. T. J. Reese delivering the sermon. The remains were laid to rest in the New England Cemetery beside her husband who passed away just ten years ago this November.

In Oct. 1858 they moved to Ridgemount, Bedeford Shine and engaged in the bakery business for a short time. Later her husband was on the police force at Befored Shive for eight years. She was married at Marston church, England, on Saturday, Dec. 25, 1852, and resided at Ridgemount, England, until Oct. 1855, when they moved to Crawley Lodge on the London North Western railroad where her husband was gatekeeper. In Oct. 1858, they moved to Ridgemount, Bedfordshire and engaged in the bakery business for a short time. Dissolving with their partner they moved to Bedfordshire where her husband was on the police force for eight years.

Five children were born in England, two of them passing away.
