Services For Mrs. Warren To Be Held Thursday

Services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Arlington for Mrs. Lena Warren, who passed away Monday, July 2, at Dodge County Community Hospital. She was 81 years, 8 months and 2 days old at the time of her death. She was born October 30, 1880 at St. Joseph, Mo.

She had lived in Washington County since 1910. She was an active member of the Rose Hill Methodist Church northeast of Arlington until she moved into town about 20 years, at which time she transferred her membership to the Arlington Church. A 50-year membership pin was presented to her in the fall of 1961.

Mrs. Warren loved her church and was ready to do what ever needed doing. She was supply secretary for the Woman’s Society of Christian Service for many years. Last spring she was presented a life membership pin by the Society.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Violet Peterson and Mrs. A. A. Hahlbeck, both of Arlington; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Samuel J. Hemphill, with the Rev. Robert A. Krause assisting. Soloist will be W. Therlo Reckmeyer and Mrs. Farnam Franzenburg, organist. A memorial fund has been established at the church.

Pallbearers will be Harold Weber, Rodney Peterson, Farnum Franzenburg, Howard Rhea, Howard Edmondson and George Schoettger.

Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. Reckmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
