Lloyd W. Warren, 76

Lloyd W. Warren, 76, of Blair, died Monday, July 9, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, July 12, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Lloyd W. Warren was born Nov. 28, 1930, on the family farm southwest of Decatur to George and Gertrude (Thomas) Warren. He attended Hilltop, Elm Creek and Lyons Schools and graduated from Decatur High School.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

On May 19, 1951, he married Elaine Dorn in Tekamah.

Mr. Warren retired from Lucent (Western Electric) after having worked for them for more than 27 years. He was a member of the Tekamah VFW, and the Blair American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Tim Brechbill of Omaha, Kay and Mark Petersen of Blair; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Kristine Warren of Kennard; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Beverly of Tekamah, Raymond and Ann of Elkhorn, and Tom Warren of Blair; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Harold Wedgewood of Tekamah.

He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and John Dorn, and sister-in-law, Mina Warren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
